• A program of onboard enrichment provided by two Smithsonian Journeys Experts, including Japanese historian Morgan Pitelka and Geeta Mehta, an expert in Japanese art history and architecture
• Onboard performances by Hiroe Morikawa, master player of the koto (traditional Japanese stringed instrument)
• Transfers and luggage handling from the airport in Osaka to the ship in Kobe on the day of embarkation
